Dogs By Anne Christian focuses on positive reinforcement dog training.

Unlike conventional dog training that punishes dogs for unwanted behavior, positive reinforcement training teaches them what we want them to do instead and makes those choices worth repeating. Instead of force, guesswork, or intimidation, my methods are rooted in behavioral science and empathy.

I view training as a true partnership. You aren't just hiring someone to teach your dog new habits—you're getting a supportive coach who understands how dogs learn. My goal is to help you cut through the noise, build clear communication, and foster a joyful, trusting bond with a happy, confident dog.

My professional background in science and education shapes how I approach dog training. It instilled in me a deep appreciation for evidence-based methods and a passion for distilling complex behavioral concepts into simple, encouraging steps anyone can practice with their dog.

My love for dogs has always been a driving force in my life, leading to years of hands-on experience as an animal shelter volunteer. Working with rescue dogs of every shape and size—and navigating a wide range of behavioral challenges—taught me patience, adaptability, and deep compassion for dogs at every stage of life. To build on that foundation, I earned my professional trainer certification through the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP) and am currently working through the Karen Pryor Academy Behavior Consulting Program.
